3 May - Pioneer Days

We were studying Alberta Heritage in the Gr 4 Social Curriculum. We did a Pioneer Day to help the students celebrate and understand what homesteading and the "Good Ole Days" were. We had sooo much fun! They did laundry on a washboard and wringer, made biscuits, made rope, made ice cream, played marbles, they just had a great old fashioned time! I don't know about you but I sure do appreciate my washer and dryer! (view photos)
